I have been doing business with Maxwell Plumbing for many years and I can surely say that when it comes to Maxwell Plumbing they have always been able to complete the service they were called for.
Tony and Adrian were great, very professional and clean. My tenant was happy with the final result
I contacted this company because they have both a plumbing and HVAC division. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience. The technician arrived to hear a loud vibration in the bathroom wall, pulled back and the exhaust cover and told me I would need construction for what was vibrating. He then opened the bathroom ceiling access panel and told me the vibrating compressor was exacerbating the noise and said he would refer this to the HVAC division. Other than that, I found him extremely dismissive saying he only could deal with one issue at a time and that was what he heard at that moment. Then he told me he was going back to see the super who DOES NOT oversee this apartment. Maxwell responded to me only after I reached out to them to say they could not take on the job, which I did not offer them. There was no follow up on their own. When I asked for the diagnosis of what was heard, they denied the interaction trying to say that I gave them a description, which was completely untrue and for which I have video recordings. The visit was with the full approval of building management and ownership, so not sure what’s going on there. I thought I had hired a reputable company and expected a higher standard of integrity. While it’s perfectly fine to decline a job, even if it wasn’t offered, the denial of the verbal diagnosis after meeting with a super who does not oversee all apartments including this one is very concerning. Proceed with caution.
In March 2022, our building management company hired Maxwell Plumbing to inspect and repair a bathroom leak in our apartment. During the repair, they replaced the plumbing with poorly fitted PVC piping. Unfortunately, four years later, the pipes became severely corroded and clogged, ultimately requiring a full replacement. My advice to anyone dealing with home repairs with Maxwell Plumbing: be present if you can, ask questions, and inspect the work being done. I wasn’t home during the repair, and looking back, I wish I had been more involved. Taking the time to verify the quality of the work upfront can save you from ongoing plumbing issues and costly repairs later on.
