Like the YMGI Product qualities-design and manufacturing. At the same SEER/size, it is heavier than most of others. Installation matters a lot. When you would like to save money by doing most by yourself, tech support by YMGI is the solid bottom line. Very knowledgeable and patient team and broad part availabilities on the major lines! As a professional HVAC installer, we have never had any issues with this brand. Highly recommended!

YMGI is a cheap junk brand that I recommend you stay away from. My unit broke after 2 months of use. The company makes it difficult to get the warranty. After many calls and replacing almost every single component in the unit, I had no choice except to buy a new system. The only positive of YMGI is their technical support staff, especially Antonio. He did what he could to try to help me out, but unfortunately none of the solutions helped.

I purchased this unit about a year ago, and unfortunately I was not aware of sending in the warranty paperwork for to be activated. The unit worked properly through the summer using the AC feature, once the weather started to get cold and we wanted to use the heating feature, both inside units gave an F1 error code. I have done my research on what could cause this code and tried to bypass it myself, however it was more than that. I had a technician come out and they contacted the tech support who suggested for the main board to be replaced. After buying the main board and installing it, it turned out to not be the problem, and a different board was needed. All the expenses of the different board in addition to the expenses of technicians to come out and installing them. My advice is to not go cheap on these units and go after more reliable brand names out there.
