I live in NJ but my aging parents leave in Fishkill. We came to visit them earlier today and as soon as we arrived, they shared that their furnace wasn’t working. With temperatures getting cooler, we could not leave Fishkill knowing their furnace wasn’t operational and that they might be left without heat. I called Folkes around 3:15 pm and was told someone could come today to check out the situation. Dillon answered the call and was so professional and polite. Again, my parents are aging and he treated my Dad with tremendous respect and kindness. Dillon identified the problem quickly and fixed it. I would recommend this company and Dillon to anyone. We were so impressed that we even signed up for a yearly contract because we know our patents are in good hands. Thank you, Dillon!

BEWARE: As a first-time homeowner, I understand the importance of hiring professionals who are knowledgeable, reliable, and, above all, honest. Unfortunately, my experience with this company left me feeling extremely disappointed and taken advantage of. I will give credit where it is due: They responded quickly, had prompt availability, and were easy to schedule. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended. I needed several electrical outlets converted from two-prong to three-prong. What I thought would be a fairly straightforward service turned into an elaborate explanation of everything that supposedly needed to be done, accompanied by a staggering $2,400 quote. As someone new to homeownership, I rely on professionals to provide accurate information, fair pricing, and honest recommendations. Instead, I walked away feeling overwhelmed and uneasy about what I was being told. Something simply didn't feel right. Thankfully, I trusted my instincts and sought a second opinion from a local, independently owned electrical company. They completed the work for less than half of what this company quoted me. The difference wasn't just in price, but in the entire experience. The other company was straightforward, respectful, transparent, and didn't make the job sound unnecessarily complicated. I fully understand that businesses have different overhead costs and pricing structures. I also believe that skilled electricians deserve to be compensated fairly for their expertise. However, there is a significant difference between charging a fair rate for professional services and presenting a homeowner with an extraordinarily expensive solution without making them feel informed or comfortable. Integrity, transparency, and honesty should matter just as much as availability and convenience. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
