The appeal here is straightforward: homeowners value the convenience of having coverage options that help simplify the repair process when something goes wrong. In a city where reliable service matters, a strong home protection plan can make all the difference, especially for busy property owners and families who want fewer surprises. If you’re comparing home warranty services in New York, The Home Service Club is a familiar name for coverage, support, and long-term household protection.
Worst experience ever, and I don't recommend and do not like anyone to go through this experience again. For the second time i have been told something is not covered. I have water hose which is leaking at the service room and I have been told this not covered and have to pay $400 out of pocket!! I called around 4pm and have been told a case manager will be assigned to my case within two hours and now it is 8pm and no case manager has been assigned to my case.
If you live in a small town or rural area don’t get this home warranty service. A/C Broke had to get my own technician. The have a reimbursement plan only once every 12 months, I waited 4 days when my water heater broke for them to find me a technician. They never found me one I had to use my own and try to use the reimbursement clause. They only offered me $330 for the parts to fix the water heater, tech told them in need full replacement. $1500. They said they would escalate my claim, I would get an email on who to contact after two hours. Never got it. Was not until they wanted a survey on the case manager I got the contact information. Don’t use this company. Service is terrible, communication is terrible, customer service is terrible.
Save your money and skip Home Service Club. I paid into their warranty plan, and for three years not submitting a single claim. The very first time I actually needed them—for a basic range display board failure on a $2,500 oven—the entire operation fell apart. Here is how their system actually works: They collect your service fee instantly. A technician comes out, agrees on the simple diagnosis, and claims the part will be ordered. They leave you in the dark. A week passes with zero communication. When you call them to ask about the repair status, they claim the part is "unavailable." which is untrue. It's available all over the internet. They offer a laughable buyout. Instead of replacing the unit or sourcing a proper resolution, they offer a $415 payout on a high-end $2,500 appliance. That isn't coverage; it's an insult after years of paying premiums. They don't even honor their own lowball offer. Almost a month has passed, and the $415 check has yet to materialize. And I'm still without an oven. The strategy is clear: pocket your fee, collect a call-out fee when something breaks, offer a fraction of what the appliance is worth, and then stall on paying even that fraction. A warranty is supposed to buy peace of mind. Home Service Club takes your premium, takes your service fee, leaves you with a broken stove, and wastes your time following up on a check that never arrives. Put the money you’d spend on their premiums into a private savings account instead—you’ll be far better off.
This is a crooked sneaky warranty company which explains all of the bad reviews. I had an issue with my HVAC system. They sent over some low level unknown repair company and found any loophole they could find to deny the claim and the technician didn’t even quote the correct issue. They always search for loopholes to deny claims. They denied my refrigerator claim because they said Samsung had a recall. The recall was almost 5 years ago and wasn’t even for the part that needed replacing. Please stay away from them!!!!!!!!
I always have the worst experience when I have a problem they never excepted to fix the problems and while I pay for the first visit to diagnose the item and they never respond even when they respond they do t give the right answer and Ithey keep drag and drag specialy now I have no refrigerator for two weeks and there is no solution they just denied
