George and Thomas provided exceptional service! They installed both a new ac system and a new furnace. They were respectful, courteous, and cleaned up after the work was completed!
We called Cottam Heating and AC to help us with our existing ductless split unit system issues. Jim came by promptly, identified the problem and came up with a solution to fix and improve it. He and Rob figured out how to accomplish the task in a difficult to work in space, our narrow alley. Then the installation team, Humberto and Isaiah, worked tirelessly to install new units and repair & improve the existing system quickly, keeping our house cool in the middle of summer. My wife and I found Cottam to be expert, diligent and professional through and through, we would HIGHLY recommend them.
I had the following installed at the end of May 2025 by Cottam Heating & Air Conditioning: FURNACE (Model# S9X2C100U5PSBBA) (Serial# 25023H89KG) COIL (Model# 4MXCC007AC6HCB) (Serial# 242270611M) AIR CONDITIONER (Model# 4TTR5048N1000AA) (Serial# 2343459JJF) I have 3 thermostats in my house - 1 in basement - 1 on first floor and 1 on the 2nd floor. Soon after installation, the blower motor failed. Cottam did not provide any explanation as to why it failed. They replaced the blower motor. Soon after the new blower motor was installed, I started to hear noises coming from the inside unit. Cottam did not know what was causing the noise and made some kind of adjustment so that I couldn't hear any noise. During August of this year, I started hearing the noise again and also started having problems with the blower motor freezing up. Finally, after 5 days of unbearable heat in the house and no explanation as to what caused the blower motor to fail, Cottam sent a technician to replace the blower motor again. So now here I am on the 3rd blower motor and they tell me the ducts are not big enough for me to have 3 thermostats. Shouldn't they have taken all this into consideration when recommending a replacement for my old unit which I never had a problem with in terms of the duct work and the thermostats. Their suggestion was to just use one of the thermostats so that the Blower Motor doesn't fail once again and/or have the duct work redone to accommodate the 3 thermostats. I had them adjust it so I'm just using the 1 thermostat so that the blower motor doesn't fail again. They had the nerve to charge me for this. I went with them because they had good reviews on Google, but have you looked at reviews on Yelp. Make sure when you are looking to replace your HVAC, you thoroughly research the company you go with. I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
